Reported about 1 year ago

Rintaro Sasaki, a standout from Japan's prestigious baseball powerhouse school Hanamaki Higashi, known as the 'Monster High Schooler,' will make his debut in the U.S. on June 12. Currently attending Stanford University, he will play as the starting first baseman for the Trenton Thunder in a summer collegiate baseball league for university students. Sasaki aims to enter the MLB draft in 2026 and has been praised by scouts for his natural talent, seen to surpass that of young MLB stars like Shohei Ohtani and Hideki Matsui, but will need to work on his defensive and base-running skills to excel further.
