In a recent incident in Taichung City, a citizen spotted a python near a convenience store in the city's western district, prompting a quick response from the police who used a broom to contain the snake before contacting the Agricultural Bureau for further assistance. As the python attempted to escape and hide under a motorcycle, multiple parties collaborated to successfully capture it without causing harm to the public. The snake, identified as a non-venomous python species, was around 3 meters in length and is categorized as a third-class protected wild animal. Authorities advised the public to stay calm if encountering snakes near residential areas and to contact the Agricultural Bureau for assistance to ensure the safety of both humans and wildlife.
