The 20-meter flying dragon in the sky and its reflection on the water at night have made many tourists feel the festive ambiance of the Dragon Boat Festival in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The dragon boat carnival is rich with activities like water and land dragon boat races, the unique 'Flying Dragon in the Sky' artwork from Fo Guang Shan, highlighting traditional Taiwanese features to complement the dragon boat theme. With 165 teams participating in the race, including 15 teams from international cities, the event celebrates the festival with international friendship races. The Kaohsiung Dragon Boat Festival runs from June 8th to June 10th with various exciting and international events catering to all ages, including night dragon boat races, unique onshore and offshore dragon boat events, and a spectacular display of the Xiang Long Lantern sponsored by Fo Guang Shan. Apart from traditional dragon boat racing, the event also features an intense 60-second tug of war specific to Kaohsiung, diverse market stalls, and entertainment for all ages, such as the popular Paper Windmill Theater performances, inflatable facilities, SUP, and more by the Love River to immerse everyone in the vibrant atmosphere of Kaohsiung.
