The 35th Golden Melody Awards was held at Taipei Arena on June 29, 2024. Xu Jun won Best Composer for 'Song of Everything' after beating strong competitors like JJ Lin and Jolin Tsai, also securing Best Arrangement. Other notable winners included EuroAsia Choir for Best Vocal Group, O-Kai Singers for Best Group, and Makav Real Love for Best New Artist and Best Indigenous Language Album. MC HotDog won Best Lyricist for 'Upstairs Landlord' and mentioned his daughter's birthday in his acceptance speech. Despite Xu Jun's absence, he won the Best Composer award, expressing gratitude to family, music, and his wife.
