She initially dismissed the discomfort as the spiciness of the hotpot, but her condition worsened rapidly when she returned to work the next day, leading to her death within 10 minutes of arriving at the hospital. The cause of death was determined to be acute epiglottitis triggered by the inflammation and swelling of her epiglottis due to the hotpot, highlighting the importance of recognizing and seeking prompt medical attention for such symptoms.
