In New Taipei City's Tamsui District, 4,088 households experienced a blackout around 10:40 a.m. due to an underground cable malfunction. Taipower quickly dispatched personnel for repairs, restoring power to 179 households initially and fully restoring power by 11:12 a.m. The cause of the blackout was identified as an underground cable malfunction, with repairs completed within around half an hour after the transfer. Residents were advised to stay calm and avoid using elevators during the outage to prevent accidents.
