Taiwan has been experiencing scorching temperatures due to the influence of the Pacific high pressure system, leading to 413 cases of heat injuries seeking medical treatment by June 23rd this year. The Ministry of Health reminds the public to stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay alert by following three tips: wearing light, loose, breathable, and UV-resistant clothing, staying hydrated by drinking 6-8 cups of water daily, and being cautious of heat-related symptoms. It is advised to seek medical attention immediately if signs of heat injury, such as increased body temperature and rapid heartbeat, are present.
