A 46-year-old man surnamed Qiu in Taichung, Taiwan, was prosecuted for causing the death of his elderly mother after pushing her during an argument in February. Knowing his mother's age and health condition, including Parkinson's disease, the man aggressively pushed her causing her to fall, hit her head, and suffer fatal injuries. Despite over two weeks of medical treatment, the mother passed away due to severe injuries. Prosecutors found the man's actions constituted domestic violence resulting in death.
