In the Poh Lin Tea House food poisoning case in Malaysia which resulted in 6 deaths, a 46-year-old liver transplant patient passed away yesterday due to severe coughing blood. A chest physician explained that it is very challenging to save patients experiencing severe coughing blood as they typically have underlying internal issues such as poor blood clotting function or lung diseases. The patient's condition worsened despite initially stabilizing after a liver transplant, leading to her demise. The physician highlighted the difficulties in treating patients with severe coughing blood, emphasizing that the death rate in such cases exceeds 50% and the treatment process is extremely challenging.
