A 5-month-old baby in Brazil became the food for a pet dog, as her parents left her alone at her grandmother's house on the sofa while they were out shopping. The baby was found attacked by the pet dog by her uncle who heard her crying. Although the baby was rescued, she suffered injuries and did not survive. The parents were arrested for negligent homicide and failure to control a dangerous animal. The incident occurred in Cidade Ocidental, southwest of Brasilia.
