In Taichung, 6 people developed symptoms of infectious gastroenteritis after dining at a hot pot restaurant where they also grilled oysters. Symptoms included diarrhea, abdominal pain, and nausea, with one person experiencing bowel movements 7 times in a day. The victims sought emergency medical treatment and were diagnosed with food poisoning. The restaurant, located in Shalu, is under inspection by the health department, where a total of 6 individuals have been hospitalized, including friends of the initial group.
