Last year, Matsu stationed soldiers wrote 'No meat in the military kitchen' on the beach, leading to investigation. It was discovered that Maritime Patrol in Matsu involved in embezzling 64 boxes of military canned goods, with the chief of staff sentenced to 3 years in prison. The illegal proceeds were over 50,000 yuan. Others involved in the case were also sentenced, except for one who was found innocent due to lack of knowledge. This incident unfolded after the plea for meat by the Matsu military garnered attention and investigations, resulting in apologies from the Army Commander and additional food provisions being allocated.
