Reported about 1 year ago
An 8-year-old boy in Shandong, mainland China, was brutally beaten to death by the owner, coach, and assistant coach of a martial arts club last year. The court announced on June 13 that two individuals were sentenced to life imprisonment and one to three years. However, the family expressed devastation and disbelief over the outcome. The boy, named Zhai, lost consciousness and was staged on a chair for photos. The incident took place at Chongdejuying Martial Arts Club in Qingdao. The father expressed that when they arrived at the hospital, their son was already dead with severe injuries all over, especially on his legs. The coaches tried to hide the truth by posing Zhai on a chair when he lost consciousness, attempting to pretend that everything was normal. The three coaches were found guilty of intentional assault, with the main culprits receiving life sentences.
