An 8-year-old girl in Yemen was forced to marry a 40-year-old man and tragically died on her wedding night due to excessive bleeding caused by sexual intercourse. Child marriage is still prevalent in many parts of the world, with this particular case shedding light on the harmful consequences of such practices. The incident occurred in 2013 in a tribal area at the border of Yemen and Saudi Arabia, where child marriage traditions persist despite international efforts to eradicate them.
