Taiwanese actor Aaron Yan was sentenced to probation in the case of filming and possessing private videos of minors, while another man named Chen was fined and sentenced to 4 months in prison. The prosecution decided to appeal Chen's lenient sentence, but no appeals were filed by Yan or the victim, so Yan's probation sentence was confirmed. The case began when the victim accused Yan of filming private videos in 2023, leading to charges under laws concerning exploitation of children and minors. Yan admitted to the charges, reached a settlement with the victim, and has begun fulfilling payment obligations. Yan was sentenced to 4 months in prison, with the option of a fine, and 7 months in prison, with probation for three years. The court instructed Yan to adhere to the terms of the settlement, with possible imprisonment if he fails to do so. Yan's Malaysian friend Chen, another defendant in the case, received a similar sentence for his involvement.
