South African lender Absa Group announced a 10% rise in annual profit, benefiting from reduced credit impairments and improved performance in the second half of the year. The bank's headline earnings per share reached 26.62 rand, with total revenue up 5% to 109.9 billion rand, driven by growth in loans and deposits, and a decline in credit impairment charges. A final dividend of 775 cents per share was also declared.
