Launched in the UAE's capital, Abu Dhabi, the Louvre Abu Dhabi sets foot as the first overseas branch of the renowned Louvre Museum in France. With an investment of 400 million euros, the agreement signed for 30 years allows Abu Dhabi to exhibit a portion of Louvre's rich collection, attracting global tourists. Positioned on a man-made island surrounded by Persian Gulf waters, the museum's architecture resembles an oasis floating at sea, glittering and highly-discussed, elevating Abu Dhabi's international presence. Incorporating seawater within the museum, visitors can marvel at the shimmering views while the unique geometric silver domes designed by architect Jean Nouvel invite natural light transformations, creating breathtaking visual effects. Despite smaller crowds compared to the Louvre in France, Louvre Abu Dhabi offers a tranquil ambiance for appreciating over 600 artworks, including Egyptian Pharaoh statues, with enhanced visitor experience through Wi-Fi coverage and a dedicated mobile app for art guidance.
