Abu Dhabi has announced new measures aimed at helping businesses transition away from oil reliance, including the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Registration Authority (ADRA) for streamlined business registration. The emirate, which holds a significant portion of the UAE's oil reserves, aims to diversify its economy through sectors like tourism and manufacturing, while responding to increasing competition from neighboring Saudi Arabia. Additionally, plans for a Chamber of Commerce strategic roadmap and a Family Business Council will further support local enterprises and family-owned businesses.
