CAAC has initiated a trial project to add Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and Taipei Songshan Airport by Taiwan CPC Corporation for the first time in the first half of next year, aiming to achieve net zero carbon emissions and accelerate carbon reduction in the aviation industry. The SAF to be used in the trial project needs to be certified by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and if successful, it will contribute to reducing carbon emissions for airline companies. This initiative aligns with the CORSIA program and international efforts to reduce carbon emissions in the aviation sector.
