On June 25th, Neihu Sub-Bureau successfully apprehended the main suspect in a cryptocurrency investment fraud case where the suspect had eluded capture by ramming two police cars. Taipei City Councilor Lee Ming-Hsien accompanied City Government Consultant Chen Chih-Hung in expressing gratitude to the police at the Gangqian Police Station in Neihu Sub-Bureau by presenting condolence money, acknowledging their hard work in maintaining public safety. Police have been actively combating various types of fraud, particularly targeting vulnerable groups like elderly residents. In 2023, fraud cases accumulated a record-breaking total of 8.878 billion NTD with investment fraud ranking first in terms of financial losses for three consecutive years.
