The leader of boy group AcQUA, Huang Xingming, will enlist in July for 6 months of alternative military service. In a farewell event, his bandmates surprised him with gifts and good wishes before his departure. Huang expressed his nervousness but hopes to write more songs during his service. He also performed a new song with fellow member Xu Hongdao, dedicated to their temporary separation as Xu will study in the US. While Huang and Xu are away, the other members will continue activities as subunits. Huang also delivered a tearful handwritten letter to fans, promising to return better and asking for their support during his time away.
