After the Legislative Yuan voted on the parliamentary reform reconsideration, with 62 votes in favor of maintaining the original resolution and 51 against, the reconsideration was not passed. The Administrative Yuan stated it will provide a constitutional interpretation. In response, Huang Kuo-chang of the People's Party respected the Administrative Yuan's right to propose reconsideration according to the constitution but urged Administrative Yuan Minister Su Tseng-chang to publicly accept the decision made by the Legislative Yuan today. Huang emphasized the significance of rejecting the reconsideration and achieving parliamentary reform on a historic day for Taiwanese democracy.
