To excel in the chip war, countries like Japan and South Korea are investing heavily in infrastructure and technology introduction, competing in various fields from an industrial perspective. Both countries aim to develop new-generation technology and application products through semiconductor advancement to further drive the overall industry and technology ecosystem upgrade. Japan, with a strong semiconductor industry background, is particularly focusing on smart cars, smart home appliances, robots, and green energy sectors for future development. South Korea plans to establish a massive semiconductor cluster in Yongin City, with aims to create around 3.5 million job opportunities by 2026 and increase its global market share in other chips and processors from 3% to 10% by 2030.
