African Infrastructure Investment Managers Ltd., a private equity fund owned by Old Mutual Ltd., is in discussions with companies like BlackRock Inc. to offload a stake in one of Africa's largest renewable energy businesses. The fund, which has grown its renewable energy presence across the continent, is looking to attract investors, potentially including Norway's Norfund AS. This move could pave the way for major investor BlackRock to enter Africa's burgeoning renewable energy sector, with AIIM managing assets worth $2.8 billion in the industry.
