Premier Su Tseng-chang responded to questions at the Legislative Yuan on June 19, 2024, regarding the review request for parliamentary powers amendments. Su mentioned that if the review is rejected by the parliament, the government can only accept it as per the Constitution. When asked if a constitutional interpretation would be proposed, Su stated that he had no other options, and the DPP was likely to propose it for further safeguarding people's rights. The Legislative Yuan will conduct a review on the parliamentary powers amendment in the next two days, with a vote scheduled for Friday. The opposition party suggested that further actions, such as a motion of no confidence, should be considered if the review fails.
