According to the Central Weather Bureau, on June 19th at 5:30 a.m., a heavy rain advisory was issued for 13 counties and cities in Taiwan, including the likelihood of localized heavy or torrential rain in Nantou County. Areas from Hsinchu northwards, Hualien, Miaoli, central regions, Kaohsiung, and Yilan mountainous areas may also experience heavy rain. People are advised to be cautious of lightning, strong winds, and potential hazards like landslides, falling rocks, and flash floods especially in mountainous areas. The weather is expected to be mostly cloudy to clear on the next day (June 20th) across Taiwan and outlying islands with chances of isolated short thunderstorms in certain regions.
