Due to the influence of a weather front, there will be localized short thunderstorms in the western, eastern regions, and other mountainous areas this afternoon. The Central Weather Bureau has issued a heavy rain advisory for 12 counties and cities, with immediate thunderstorm alerts for Northern Taiwan. Keelung City's Ren'ai District and Qidu District, as well as Ruifang District in New Taipei City, are under level 2 flood warnings, while Nuan Nuan District in Keelung City is under a level 1 flood warning. In the afternoon, the rain area expanded, with a heavy rain advisory issued for several areas. Additionally, flood warnings have been issued for certain rivers in Taipei, New Taipei, and New Taipei. People are advised to be cautious of flooding in low-lying areas and on roads.
