According to WeatherRisk, the southwest monsoon will persist until the weekend, and starting from Tuesday next week, the weather will shift to a summer pattern. The western half of Taiwan is affected by the southwest monsoon and unstable air masses, with convective rain extending from the south to the north and moving inland, causing local heavy thunderstorms. The humidity is expected to decrease in the afternoon today, transitioning rain to convective showers in mountainous areas with a gradual decrease in rainfall. However, there is still a chance of rain in the western half of Taiwan tonight and tomorrow morning due to a slight increase in humidity, with a further reduction in mountainous rain in the afternoon tomorrow. As a cold front moves eastward, wind briefly shifts to a southwest direction on Monday and Tuesday morning, leading to increased rainfall in the central and southern regions. In the coming days, Taiwan's weather will become more typical of summer with hot mornings, afternoon convective development near mountainous areas bringing brief showers or thunderstorms, and the need to be cautious of upstream weather changes when engaging in water activities to avoid sudden heavy rain or thunderstorms.
