Starting from the afternoon, a rainstorm alert has been issued for 10 counties and cities in northern Taiwan, lasting until the night. The Central Weather Bureau warns of intense convective cloud development, leading to short-lived heavy rainfalls in areas like Hsinchu, Hualien, Miaoli, Nantou, and Yilan. Residents are advised to be cautious of thunder, strong winds, landslides, and rising river levels. The rain is expected to last until the night, with potential for thunderstorms and strong winds. Temperatures are high, reaching up to 36 degrees Celsius in some areas, prompting precautions against heatstroke.
