As the Pacific high-pressure system strengthens and extends westward, the rain pattern near Taiwan has transitioned to a summertime pattern. Afternoon thunderstorms are likely in mountainous areas and nearby plains from midday until evening, with the weather stabilizing after nightfall. The rain pattern is expected to continue in a repetitive cycle until the influence of a typhoon or other weather systems disrupts it. The temperatures will remain high, reaching up to 36 degrees in some areas, with precautions against heatstroke advised. A tropical disturbance in the South China Sea next week may lead to increased thunderstorm activity over Taiwan.
