According to the Central Weather Bureau, a frontal system will be located over the northern sea areas of Taiwan and influenced by southwest winds on the next two days (June 9th and 10th), leading to brief showers or thunderstorms in central and southern Taiwan with a probability of localized heavy rain. The northern and northeastern regions, as well as offshore islands like Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu, may also experience brief thunderstorms. With warm and humid air brought by south to southwest winds, unstable atmospheric conditions combined with daytime heating may cause strong convective cloud development in mountainous areas, northern Taiwan, and northeastern regions in the afternoons, potentially resulting in heavy rainfall. People are advised to stay alert to weather changes and take precautions, especially when engaging in outdoor activities near mountains, beaches, rivers, and open water areas. The meteorologist Eurodisc continued to explain that although the intensity of rainfall in inland areas will gradually decrease tonight after the dissipation of convective cloud systems, there may still be some brief showers in the central and southern regions late at night until early morning the following day. Similar weather patterns with afternoon thunderstorms are expected in various regions tomorrow as well.
