Due to the effects of a low-pressure system today (June 8), there will be localized brief showers or thunderstorms in southern Taiwan, southeastern regions, and Penghu. The rest of the areas along with Kinmen and Matsu will be mostly cloudy, with localized brief thunderstorms in the afternoon and a chance of localized heavy rain in mountainous areas. The temperatures are expected to reach 29-32 degrees Celsius today, making it feel hot when not raining, with night temperatures dropping to 23-26 degrees. Analyst Wu Shengyu from WeatherRisk mentioned that the frontal boundary in the northern seas of Taiwan will continue to bring southerly to southwestern winds, bringing chances of intermittent showers or thunderstorms in central and southern Taiwan.
