As the elderly population continues to increase, the phenomenon of 'elderly living in old buildings without elevators' is becoming more common, trapping many older people in old apartments they have accumulated throughout their lives. A survey by the Ministry of Health and Welfare shows that 22.3% of renters over the age of 55 face rental difficulties. The demand for high-end senior living homes, nursing facilities, and social housing is rapidly increasing in Taiwan.
