Agriculture Minister Chen Junji announced that with the rising trend of pet ownership in the country, there has been an increase in pet communicators amidst controversies of fraud. Minister Chen highlighted at the legislature that pet communicators lack scientific evidence and are generally not recognized. He emphasized that the Agriculture Ministry will continue managing the pet industry and issue guidelines regarding inappropriate practices under the pretense of pets. The session at the Economic Committee also addressed concerns over the increasing number of pet owners and the role of pet communicators, further questioning the necessity of administrative regulations. Chen assured that the Ministry will provide guidance for industry compliance to prevent misleading practices.
