AI Servers in Demand, Infineon Evolves to Stay Ahead

Reported about 1 year ago

AI server demand remains strong with TrendForce estimating the total share of AI server shipments to rise to 12% this year. In order to enhance energy efficiency for AI servers, leading power semiconductor manufacturer Infineon has introduced a new 400V Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOSFET product lineup to meet the high power demands of AI GPU platforms, thereby improving the efficiency of AI data center operations. TrendForce's latest research indicates that the main driving force for global server shipments in 2024 is still dominated by American CSP, with an estimated annual growth rate of approximately 2.05%; meanwhile, the focus remains on deploying AI servers, accounting for about 12.1% of shipments. Infineon's new power solutions aim to address the increasing power requirements of AI processors and are expected to drive innovation in low-carbon solutions and design architecture as AI applications advance.
