Gates' energy company TerraPower has received approval to build a new-generation nuclear power plant in Wyoming using liquid sodium cooling technology. This plant is expected to start generating electricity before 2030 and is the first commercial nuclear power plant built by a private enterprise in the US in nearly a decade.
