Air Force Personnel Changes: Cao Jinping Promoted to Deputy Commander of the Air Force Command

According to Zhongtian News Network on June 27, 2024, there will be high-level military personnel changes in the Air Force Command. Major General Cao Jinping, Chief of Staff, is expected to be promoted to Deputy Commander on July 1. Meanwhile, Major General Wang Deyang, Commander of the Education, Training, and Doctrine Development Command, will assume the position of Air Force Chief of Staff. Additionally, Major General Yan Youxian, currently Deputy Chief of Staff for Defense Intelligence, will be reassigned as the Commander of the Doctrine Development Command. Furthermore, Lieutenant General Xie Risheng, the current Commander of the 5th Squadron, will be promoted to Major General and reassigned as Deputy Chief of Defense Intelligence. It is noted that Major General Cao Jinping, who will be promoted to Deputy Commander of the Air Force, survived the UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter crash in January 2020. This reshuffling also involves the promotion of other officials within the Air Force Command.
