Air Liquide plans $250 million plant to supply gas for chipmaker Micron

Air Liquide will invest $250 million in a new industrial gas plant in Idaho to supply Micron Technology with ultra-pure nitrogen and other gases. The investment aims to support the production of memory chips for artificial intelligence, as semiconductor companies increase production capacity to meet growing demand for chips in various electronic devices. The plant is expected to be operational by the end of 2025, creating hundreds of direct and indirect jobs.
