According to industry sources, Airbus is set to take over operations at four Spirit AeroSystems plants, including facilities in North Carolina, Northern Ireland, Morocco, and France. This move is part of a deal with Boeing involving the redistribution of the U.S.-based aerostructures manufacturer. Specific plants involved in the transition include those producing parts for A350 fuselages, carbon wings for the A220, fuselage work for the A320, and A350 sections assembly. Airbus and Spirit have not provided comments on the specifics of the proposed agreement.
