Airfare Increase! Tigerair, EVA Air, China Airlines Raise Reservation Service Fees

Reported 9 months ago

During the first day of the Dragon Boat Festival, with an estimated daily influx of 130,000 travelers, the Taoyuan Airport in Taiwan was crowded with passengers lining up to go through customs. However, airfare prices have surged as Tigerair has announced an additional fee of 400 NTD per segment for peak season tickets starting on June 17, while China Airlines and EVA Air have separately raised their reservation service fees to 25 USD per ticket in May and June. Experts point out that in addition to base prices, extra charges such as service fees, fuel surcharges, and airport taxes can add up significantly, making tickets more expensive for travelers.
