On the first day of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, travelers crowded Taoyuan Airport with an estimated daily influx and outflux of 130,000 people. However, airfares have increased with Tigerair Taiwan announcing a booking service fee of 400 NT dollars per flight starting from June 17 for the summer peak season. Meanwhile, China Airlines and EVA Air have also raised their booking service fees to 25 USD per ticket in May and June respectively. Experts point out that in addition to the ticket price, fees like the ticket service charge, fuel surcharge, and airport tax act as additional costs, amounting to over 10,000 NT dollars for a round-trip ticket to Osaka priced at 26,000 NT dollars.
