SET News Network reported on June 11, 2024, that border food products were found to contain the carcinogen ethylene oxide once again. The Taiwan Food and Drug Administration revealed three batches of seasoning sauces tested from the United States, including 'sugar-free oil and vinegar dressing,' 'smoked chili and lime barbecue sauce,' and 'steak sauce,' all containing ethylene oxide. Notably, the popular 'A1 Steak Sauce' was among the affected products. The TFDA announced that all these products will be retrieved and destroyed at the border, totaling 819.97 kilograms in violation.
