A landslide occurred at the Ma Shuhua-er section on the Southern Cross-Island Highway, causing temporary traffic interruption, with the Highway Bureau estimating that clearance work will begin around 11 a.m. on the first day of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. Due to continuous falling rocks from the mountainside, the Jiasian Highway Section has to wait for the rockfalls to stop before starting clearance operations. Additionally, in the coastal area of Taitung County, landslides also caused road closures, with repair work ongoing.
