According to the Central Weather Bureau, 13 counties and cities have issued a heavy rain alert, with the probability of localized heavy rain in Kaohsiung and northwards, Yilan, Hualien mountainous areas, Taoyuan, Chiayi, and Tainan areas today. Caution is advised for thunderstorms and strong gusts, with the risk of landslides, rockfalls, and flash floods in mountainous areas, as well as potential flooding in low-lying areas. New alert zones and immediate alerts for severe thunderstorms have been announced, prompting vigilance for heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, strong winds above level 9, hail, flash floods, and poor visibility in certain areas.
