Central Weather Bureau issued a heavy rain advisory for 12 counties and cities in Taiwan due to vigorous afternoon convective cloud development, with the likelihood of localized heavy rain in areas including Greater Taipei, Taichung, Nantou, Hualien, areas north of central Taiwan, and mountainous regions in Yilan. Residents are advised to beware of thunder and strong gusts, as well as potential landslides and falling rocks in mountainous areas. Vigorous afternoon convective cloud development may cause short periods of intense rainfall across the island.
