In Tainan, Taiwan, on June 29, 2024, a mysterious tree collapse occurred near Chiayi University Hospital without any wind or rain. Two tree collapse incidents happened around noon on the same day: a woman driving a Mazda narrowly avoided being hit by a falling tree branch on East Fong Road, while another tree in Nantou fell on a female rider, causing serious injuries. Investigations on the reasons for the tree collapses are ongoing.
