The internationally renowned Alisan Forest Railway in Chiayi County, Taiwan, which was severely damaged by Typhoon Morakot in 2009 and Typhoon Dujuan in 2015, will officially resume full-line operation on July 6 after a 15-year hiatus due to extensive repair works funded by the government. The reopening of the railway, connecting Chiayi Station to the Alisan Forest Recreation Area, will revive the century-old mountain railway charm, boost the local economy, and allow more people to witness the beautiful mountain forests and cultural values of Alisan. Alisan Hotel, located within the Alisan National Forest Recreation Area, offers a stunning view of the forest and provides a high-quality coffee experience in its open lobby adorned with cherry blossom-inspired decor, showcasing the natural beauty and cultural ambiance of Alisan.
