Former chairman of Taichung Bank, Wang Guifeng, who is accused of embezzling over 1.1 billion NT dollars for luxury cars, entertainment, and a private jet during his tenure, was able to raise a staggering 150 million NT dollars in cash to post bail before midnight in just 2.5 hours. Wang borrowed money from business contacts and friends, and even had individuals traveling to deliver cash to the courthouse. Despite the tight deadline and high bail amount, Wang successfully posted bail and left the courthouse in a new outfit, thanking everyone for their efforts.
