Tech giants Amazon, Apple, and Google joined forces to establish the open-source standard Matter protocol for smart home devices, breaking through previous incompatibility barriers. Taiwanese industrial computer and networking manufacturers like Delta Electronics and Delta Networks are seizing the opportunity, with factories like Wistron in collaboration with international partners. Matter has gained nearly 700 members within two years of its launch and has introduced a new version this year, expanding support to include energy-saving and health applications. The market for smart homes is expected to grow significantly with projections reaching 537.01 billion USD by 2030, driven by the Matter protocol.
