Amazon Commits to Talen Nuclear Project Despite Regulatory Setback

Amazon has reaffirmed its commitment to developing a data center campus next to a Pennsylvania nuclear plant, even after the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission rejected a special power supply deal for the facility. The company plans to pay $650 million for the project, which will allow the data center to draw power directly from the Susquehanna nuclear plant, helping to advance Amazon's goals of using carbon-free energy.
